Mango Smoothie

The best mango smoothie is with fresh mango meat and dairy milk. You want a mango that is ripe. Extra care is needed to find that ripe mango. You can purchase canned mango or mango juice from a store. That is acceptable but the taste will probably be a little sweeter from added sugars.

Ripe mango meat is the best. Always try the mango meat first. If it taste like mango then its perfect. Cut it up into pieces and drop them into a blender. I like to give the blender a little start to start the blending process off. Then I will add cold out of the refrigerator dairy milk. I have a two litre blender jug so a liter of milk will go in.

You can add yoghurt or cream. I sometimes add a banana if I am the one consuming the end result. Occasionally I will use a can of Nestle Milk or Nestle Cream. These are both very sweet additions but they add thickness.

If you are feeling the need, I will add an egg. That will be my Mango Protein Smoothie. After the gym or a long bike ride my treat will be my protein shake.

You can add a dusting of nutmeg and or cinnamon if you like as a treat. Maybe if I am sharing then the dusting will take place.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mango’s
  • 1 litre dairy milk

Directions

Cut the mango into pieces, place in blender, and a short blast. Add the litre of milk and blend till smooth and a little creamy. For extra thickness and sweetness, add a can of 250ml Nestle Milk or Cream.

For health reasons a banana or two and a whole raw chicken egg. Yogurt over Nestle Milk but either or, both is acceptable. It sort of depends on what I find in the cupboard at the time.

The mango smoothie come in many mixes. This is my favorite or at least the one I make for myself most of all. You can literally add whatever you like to improve or change the flavor. It’s a healthy protein shake of sorts. You could add protein powder but then that becomes another concoction of smoothieness.
